Notes
Martin went to ltuba Namalowe to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement. He walked around that village with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee member, they were encouraging them about the maintenance of facilities constructed as well as those sanitation facilities that were not constructed and completed to do so.They were also encouraging them about the standardisation so that the residents don’t make facilities which were not up to standard. They were also teaching them about the maintenance of the latrines through the use of ash and setting up of the hand washing facility.
Generally the community members are working so hard on their sanitation facilities. They moved in 36 homes and among them were homes of people like; Ziyadi Mulinda who did a good work about the sanitation facilities, because he constructed a new latrine with bricks 16ft deep, a kitchen with bricks and a shower area also with bricks, Mirabu Nabirye constructed a strong latrine two rooms with bricks and cement, Paul Bikaba the Chairman LC1’s latrine has two rooms and is under construction, Godfrey Isabirye is digging a new pit latrine and it’s 13ft deep as well as a shower area on it at the same time and also Yasoni Kaluba who has constructed a strong dish rack.
