Abraham, Roy, Sarah, Alex B, Chris, Alex W went to Kitukiro to do goats distribution process. They were joined by Bugaya sub county CDO, vet Dr, GISO, Sub county chief, parish chief and DCDO Buyende. Bugaya sub county CDO, Mrs Nadiope Rittah thanked Kibo for organizing the community and giving them goats to improve on their income. She encouraged the community to take care of the goats because she will come and check how they are doing. The vet doctor Mr Idaama Johnson checked all seventy five goats and advised them to deworm the goats because pests will affect them during this rainy season. He asked if Kibo can put tags on the goats for security. He advised them to spray the goats because ticks could affect them. Parish chief Mr Kadogola Richard thanked the members for working hard and he is happy because the government may select this village as a parish model. He said that he will make sure the security of the goats is maintained. The LC3 chairperson Mr Walugambire Simon thanked Kibo’s criteria of selecting villages with most needs.They moved around checking requirements to receive goats and they were impressed about the standard the community has reached. Kibo distributed seventy six ( 76 ) goats to ( 76 ) members and they was much excitement in the community singing songs and dance. They were welcomed with the community and Buyende district community development officer DCDO Mr Waigulo Emanuel encouraged the community to take care of the goats they received from Kibo. He said that as a district they are going to work with Kibo to see that can improve on their income.He told them as he also has animals like goats and cows . He began with one hen that multiplied and later got a goat until he managed to get cows from one hen. The community was overwhelmed with excitement when they saw a truck of goats . The song was that the day has come for them to improve on their income as a community and families.A lot was said for thanking Kibo group. Roy Mwesigwa on behalf of Kibo group thanked the government officials for gracing the occasion .He advised the community to take care of the goats from Kibo group. Abraham will go back next week to introduce a lesson of community self progress.
