Maria visited Nawandyo A to carry out an evaluation on all the topics covered, talk about the general hygiene of the community from the time Community health education program started up to date. The meeting started by an opening prayer led by Maria, the chairperson Kibo mr Muhamed gave his remarks then Maria was invited to speak to the community members. Maria welcomed members, introduced the topic as evaluation on topics covered. The staff asked members to share the different topics covered. In an interactive discussion, members mentioned almost every topic, reminding each other on what was advised by the health educator. As members were mentioning the topics, Maria could ask questions in line with the topic to assess the members but members were able to explain. The health educator encouraged members to put whatever they have learned into practice, take their health as a priority. This program has helped so much bridging the gap between the health workers and the community, said Saida. Most homes have improved on their hygiene following the many advises from the health educators; Christine Said. Mr.Muhamed thanked Kibo for improving on the hygiene of their community, love, and knowledge extended to this village. He testified about the Mvule program for the support and contributions it added to his family. Muhamed says out of the one goat he got, he has managed to support his children in education and three children has qualified as professional teachers. Yahaya thanked Maria for teaching about the dangers of alcoholism, it’s result to the children, mother or even to the community as this was a serious problem in this village. The chairperson mr. Dan gave his remarks thanking Kibo as an organization, the health education program and in particular Mr Henry for improving on the general hygiene of the community. Maria thanked all members, the mobilizers, the VHT, the chairperson for attending the health education lessons ever since the program started. She continued thanking members who have been diehard with this program, the mothers who gave birth from hospitals following the advise of the health educator, mothers who have gone to seek seek for family planning, and those who have acquired knowledge from this program concerning their health.

Yes, mothers visit hospitals for antenatal care, there is a good relationship between the community and the health workers in the near by hospital, got knowledge about the many diseases and how to prevent and treat the various disease.
