Notes
Diana went to Nawandyo B, to teach poultry lessons. As Diana approached the meeting place the Secretary Khamadi calls Diana and tells her to go back, because baby John was critically ill. Diana told him that she will first have to see the condition of the baby. Diana reached and requested the grandmother to bring the child, Sofi who had arrived earlier in preparation for counseling lessons as she had agreed with Diana, said that the child was some where, Diana told her that she would wait until the child is brought to her. When the child was brought after 20 minutes, Diana asked them what was the problem with the child, Kiige the grandfather said that they had been in and out of the hospital and they told them that the hospitals they went to, did not have blood, and they were told to take the child home. Diana asked them where those the only hospitals within, Harriet responded they are the only good hospitals they have. Diana told them to prepare because there was a children’s hospital in Jinja called Nalufenya children’s hospital and it is a government hospital it will not require them to pay money. As Diana was still talking, baby John Kiige passed on. Ooh what a pity. It was devastating and shattering. The situation was too alarming that Diana did not know what to do at that exact moment, as the mother of the baby wailed and also the other community members joined her. Diana talked to the community members and told them to be strong for the family. Diana told them that’s the way God has destined for everyone. Except we don’t know when we all die. John has gone to be with Lord. He is a sweet angel that was loved by all and also God loves good things. Diana kept talking to the mourners who were now looking at the lifeless body of John Kiige. Diana told them to keep trusting God for the best and for strength because He always has the best for His children. Diana then left and it was really not easy for her. She will be going back to continue encouraging the community members and to assess their mood on how ready they are to attend the lessons of poultry, if they are okey, Diana will teach the lesson.
