Notes
In Ituba, Alex met with the village leaders Mr kasim and Mr Basoga to talk about the current and previous kibo programs. Together they visited some homes to check on hand washing improvements in the village as well as encouraging people to respond towards all the kibo programs. Over 20 new hand washing stands have been completed in the upper part of the village with many testifying good about this new kind of hand washing being promoted by kibo group. A lady called Betty likes it because all her kids can easily wash their hands than it was before. The kids can easily refill the jerrycan with water and soap whenever it gets done. The leaders have been encouraged to promote this activity in all the homes and make sure all people and kids are able to wash their hands. The leaders were told that kibo would bring in a new program and they should be ready and prepared to mobilize their village and attend all the meetings. While at the sub county offices, Alex met with the chief and the community development officer to discuss more about the kibo programs this year in their sub county and let them know of another new program coming up in Ituba village. They all promised their full support to kibo group in conducting this program in Ituba village.
