Notes
Purpose of the visit in Bulyowa primary school, Manuela planned to go to this school to review their previous lessons then teach about the importance of having role Models. This lesson is aimed at educating students so that they can have role model and their qualities and learn from them. Manuela started her lesson by reviewing the previous lesson then she introduced the lesson of the day, the role model, during this exercise, students were able to share ideas about the previous lesson. After that, Manuela asked the students about the homework, students did their homework well. Manuela asked the students if they have Role models, they said yes, then Manuela requested them to share with their fellow students who their homework is, one of the students called Baiza, she said for her , her role model is the woman leader in their village and retired nurse , then Manuela asked the girl that why is that lady is her role model, she said because she respect her self, so intelligent, she is good at counseling and guiding the couples, she has good communication and good relationships with people in that village. She is educated and she has educated her children too despite of her being a window. Manuela encouraged that student to concentrate on her studies so that she can become a nurse maybe later to follow those qualities so that she can be like her role model. Other students also shared their views about their role model for example one boy called mukisa, said that his role model is the headteacher of their school, Manuela asked him why? He said because he is bright, he speaks good English and above all he knows mathematics. He wants to be like him. Manuela encouraged him to be close to him and asked him how he became a good mathematicians too so that other students would like to be like him feature. Manuela encouraged other students to follow the qualities of their role model but above all Manuela encouraged the students to concentrate on their studies so that they can be grate citizens in feature. Finally, Manuela gave the students homework to work on about Goal setting.
