Notes
While in this community Chris and Abraham were joined by the chairperson Mrs Joweria with her team of 10 committee members and embarked on the journey of home to home tree inspection , they decided to start with the lower part of the community which is densely populated with approximately 40 homes. The home visits were intended to check on trees, build the relationship with the community, observe the potential of the community and sensitize more on environmental conservation. They were able to visit 15 homes, in all the homes they visited they observed that parents were not involving children in planting trees and consequently children were playing a part in damaging the already delicate tree seedlings however Chris and Abraham encouraged the parents to start guiding their children how trees are planted , why they plant the trees and how to take care of the trees, chris and Abraham also had a chance to interact with the children they found in most homes , they used that chance to educate the children the importance of planting trees and why they have to take care of the trees their parents are planting for them. The day went on well , all homes Abraham and Chris visited were very excited and welcoming. Chris will continue with tree inspection next week.
