Notes
Diana went to Nawandyo B, to carry out home visits and to counsel the family of Kiige, who had lost a grandson on the 6th of April 2022. It happened when Diana was telling them to prepare the child, so that he can be taken to the hospital, but they told Diana that they were just from the hospital and that there was no blood in the hospitals they went to.Diana told them that Nalufenya is a children’s hospital and it can help save John’s life, as Diana was still talking the child passed on, leaving everyone confused and wailing. In this home visit, Diana had gone to meet the bereaved family and other members of the family. Diana got Kiige’s family inside the house, they later came out after seeing the car. They came to meet Diana who was happy to see them in a calm mood. Diana talked to David who thanked her of the emotional support she offered to their family and the entire community. Kiige and his wife, the grandparents of late baby John, thanked Diana and Kibo for standing with them. Meanwhile, the community gathered, and Diana had to continue with the counseling, where by she talked about how God is supreme in their lives and He is the only one who heals the broken-hearted. In times of trouble we should trust Him to help us in our day to day work, and avoid pointing fingers on who caused the death of the child. Diana told them to always monitor the children and make sure they are taken to the hospital as early as possible to avoid sudden death of the children in the community. Diana a told them that if the Doctors tell them that there is no blood they should not just go back home, but try other hospitals because children are fighters they can easily get blood and the child’s life is saved. She called upon the community to be supportive to David and his wife, they should continue counseling them and help them always. She told David and his wife to know that it is God who gives and takes away. He will bless them with more children who will replace baby John. Diana told them at a certain point every one will die, we only have to live in love and harmony and forgive one another in case we wrong our friends. The community attentively listened as Diana continued talking to them. The counseling went on well. The community thanked Diana for the words of encouragement that are promoting love and peace in their community. Diana told them that the next visit, she will teach about poultry lessons. She told them to keep time and encouraged them to come with a friend. The chairman Peter, was grateful, he thanked Diana for the beautiful words of encouragement. He said that they needed such encouraging words that will take their community forward. He encouraged everyone to always be vigilant in attending the community empowerment lessons and tell their friends also to attend the lessons.
