Notes
Before visiting Nabikenge, Tom passed by the district of Namutumba to meet with the RDC whom together they discussed about the Wash program and Kibo’s activities in the district in relation to the wash program. Tom mentioned the villages where kibo is carrying out hand washing improvements. The RDC was very supportive of the hand washing program because its important in the prevention and in the fight of diseases. The RDC requested that kibo be present more at the district so that the organization’s activities are well captured. From the district Tom went to Nabikenge village were he found newly constructed hand washing stands. Those who were already using the jericans said this approach was better in promoting hand washing compared to the tippy tap. Mr Isabirye made such a remark as he showed off his new stand as showed in the attached pictures
