- Notes
- Alex B.taught on the benefits of trees and made people to learn about them.He told them that since they were seated under the tree, that trees provide shade.Trees can be sold and money be used to buy what is needed in the home and also pay school fees, pay medical bills, fruits from Trees like Mango , for furniture like tables and chairs and also for cooking as firewood.
He also taught on the benefit of mvule trees as almost every thing on that tree is useful. The leaves, the stem timber for furniture and construction and they provide very good shade. Timber from mvule is very expensive and durable so is furniture from mvule is expensive.Alex B told them that mvule as a tree takes some time before the timber is ready for use. The mature Mvule tree takes about 50-100 years to mature and the reason for planting these tress is not for near use but to plan for the future. The children and the grandchildren can benefit out of them when they are mature and ready for sell. The community was encouraged to attend the lessons as they will learn how to plant and take care of trees, and also how to work well together to achieve development.
