Notes
Diana went to Bulyowa A, to teach the community, how to build the kitchen coop. Diana got when some of the committee members had already arrived with some of the community members. This showed how ready the people of Bulyowa were for the lessons. They were excited to see Diana and within a short time they had gathered, unlike the other days where Diana had to move home to home in order to mobilize the members for the lessons. The chairman Wilbur, welcomed Diana and the community members for the lesson. He thanked Kibo for loving and being there for them. Wako opened with a word of prayer and thanked Diana for standing with them during the time they lost their niece and also a granddaughter to Margaret one of the committee member. He encouraged everyone to be vigilant in attending the lessons so that they can take their community forward. He then welcomed Diana to take them through. Diana thanked everyone for attending and keeping time. She asked the members to clap for themselves and encouraged them to always embrace the community empowerment lessons because they will take them forward like Wako said. Diana went on to say that it was Sad they lost a daughter. She told them that death is something God kept for Himself, no one can know when He is going to die. You only have to live, a life of love and forgiveness and helping one another, and be vigilant healthy wise. Diana also told them that, they should not just keep children at home if they see anything unusual with them, they should take them to hospitals to avoid sudden death. She called upon the community to be vigilant on their children and called upon the leaders to check on homes of those parents who don’t want to take the children to hospitals. Beatrice added on that, what Diana is saying will help their community, because it will be communal and promote unity in their community of Bulyowa A. Diana then later asked them what they understand by the chicken coop. Patrick said that it is a house that is built for the chicken. Diana asked them the importance of the chicken coop. David said that it protects the chicken from rain, Rukia also added that the chicken coop helps the eggs of the chicken to be easily monitored. Diana thanked them for their contribution and added on their points by explaining the importance of the chicken coop to them. Diana ended there, because of time and told the community members that she will start from there in the next lesson. The chairman and the community members were very happy and told Diana that in the next visit, the number will be bigger, if it doesn’t rain so much. Diana told them it’s ok she will be waiting for them in the next lesson.
