Notes
Kibo staff found a few members at the meeting place. They had already gathered the materials at the homes where the stoves were to be built. Since Kibo’s goal is to teach the community the skill of building stoves other than just building.kibo staff walked to the homes to remoblise them for the stove program. They came and Kibo staff guided them to stamp the dirt, and Kibo staff built two demonstration stoves as they explained the whole process. After they had a meeting to find out why the group delayed to turn up for the meeting until Kibo staff had to call them for the meeting. It was observed that some men are not participating in the stove program and a few men who are there are not willing to work for some women whose husbands are not participating. Harriet encouraged the women to talk to their husbands to turn up in meetings and also those few men to show them God’s love by helping those women with stubborn husbands to get stoves provided they are active in the program. Also the community is experiencing food scarcity so some people were still busy in the gardens weeding rice which forced them to come late for the meeting. Kibo staff encouraged them to always turn up early for the meetings so that they also can end the meeting early enough and be able to attend to their gardens.
