Maria and members to discussed the services or activities offered in antenatal, postnatal and post abortion care. Then Maria explained in detail all the activities carried out; mothers are given anti malarial medicine to protect them from get malaria, vaccination for tetanus, mosquito net, total blood check up, mama kit ( antenatal care)etc. Postnatal care; the health worker will check the baby, immunize the baby, teach and encourage the mother to breastfeeding, check the general condition of the mother and the baby etc. Maria advised members ( mothers) to go for postnatal care. She encouraged community members in case of any miscarriage to go back to hospital and find out the course, how to prevent it. Maria encouraged men to go together with their wives for all the activities or services because it is their responsibility e.g checking of blood, counseling etc. Florence said that men do not do their responsibilities calming that there is no time, money. Maria said that all these services are free in all the government hospitals, she encouraged men to support the mothers during this period. Community members said that most health workers are tough/ not friendly to the mothers making it too hard for mother to visit hospitals for these services. Maria promised to visit the near by health center and talk to them. Maria informed the community members that the program is about to phase out then Paul closed the meeting with a word of prayer.
