Notes
Jeska went to the village to continue teaching the community how to build the fuel efficient stoves. This time she went to the upper section of the village and found the members already gathered with materials put in place. They welcomed her and the group chairperson Eddy informed Kibo staff how they were prepared to build two stoves that day. One was going to be at Naikobya’s home while the other at Madina’s home. Two groups were formed and they went to different homes which were not far from each other. The groups which were mainly led by the male participants began measuring the dirt while mixing it with grass by the ratio of 2:1, and after sprinkling water all over it, they stamped it until lit got ready for building the stoves. The community members participated in the stove building lessons under the the guidance of Jeska who kept on supervising the two groups. In the end, two fuel stoves were successfully built and the members especially the owners of the kitchens rejoiced upon receiving the new improved saving stoves. Jeska thanked all the members for participating in the lessons and encouraged them to continue improving on all their other sanitation and hygiene facilities as well as constructing stronger firewood storages. The community appreciated the lessons that day and wished each other a happy stay.
