- Ida went to Naisamula to teach a lesson about harmony and unity in marriage. She found when a group of sixteen members waiting for her She then asked the chairperson to lead the group in an opening prayer then Ida conducted a recap which was well participated. After the recap. Ida introduced a new topic with a question.” What do you understand by the phrase unity in marriage ?” Different members gave answers which were correct according to their understanding. Ida defined unity in marriage asa couple becoming one flesh in a union of body, mind and Spirit that reflects God’s nature. We discussed about the ways to develop unity, how oneness can be practiced and what happens when oneness is practiced. Ways to develop oneness members gave answers as follows: Worshiping, reading, walking and cooking together are some of the ways to develop oneness. Ida concluded by asking the community members “ why should oneness be practiced in marriage?” Mugoya said that oneness eliminates selfishness. Clovesi said that oneness produces corporation and eliminates competition. Mary said that couples are open to each other in all things. Ida also added on that it helps couples share their strengths, weaknesses and ideas . The chairperson thanked members for attending and asked them to bring a friend next time. Ida left the community members with a question to chew on next time when she visits again. “ What is communication?”
