Notes
Keneth and Keith visited namulu village to check on sanitation and hygiene improvements through the construction of sanitation facilities like latrines, shower areas, dish racks and others and also check on the mantainance of the facilities. They reached at the chairman’s place when VHTs and sanitation committee were waiting for their arrival and they happily welcomed them . Keneth welcomed mr Keith in namulu village introducing some of the VHTs, and members of the sanitation committee who have worked so hard to build and improve their sanitation facilities even without physical intervention of Kibo facilitators, they keep the village moving with the guiding , and encouraging of fellow members to construct sustainable facilities and and effectively use them. Keneth later introduced mr Keith to the community that he is our visitor who has come to also support and equally learn from each other and also checking on our sanitation and hygiene status so that he can see when Kibo entres a virgin village , the difference between a newly start off village and transformed village where all programs have gone through. Later the team together with keneth and mr Keith made walks to a few homes guiding, sensitizing, encouraging and emphasizing on sanitation and hygiene improvements and construction of home ideal facilities and well usage. The team met a resident who was washing utensils and well using the dish rack and keneth thanked her for the good work and showed mr Keith the gospel they preach in the community to transform it. They also met residents whose latrine stances were present a few days had collapsed due to heavy rains in the village but some of the residents had efforted to provide new facilities and keneth explained to mr Keith that one of the core values is to let residents know why they should have the facilities instead of just building them without knowing te importance. The team made walks to many homes and later had a meeting with some residents to share on the field experience and resident on behalf of the community thanked and said they are privileged to host a good man like Keith who can fix time to check on residents homes helping them uplift their health and sanitation standards and thankful of mr kibuuka Martin and kibo atlarge for having been so generous to village and asked to bring all the programs in the village and mr Keith had a word of encouragement to the community and promised to visit them any time again .
