Learning Objectives
To educate the participants about dangers and courses of early pregnancy to the youth

Purpose of the visit to Bulyowa primary school, Manuela, Lorna and Barbra the visitor went to Bulyowa primary school to review the previous lessons then teach the students about causes and dangers of early pregnancy, Manuela and the team reached the school and they were welcomed by the head teachers of that school mr Nehemiah, after writing in the visitor book, Manuela and the team went to Life Skills class where they were revived by the students, Manuela and the team greeted the student and asked them to sit down. After that session, Manuela asked the students to share what they did at home during the break, they sighted answers like digging, crazing cattle, cooking food and also one boy called Sam, said for him he was selling items in the market. After that Manuela asked the students about the previous lessons, students were able to share their ideas about the previous lesson taught. After that Manuela introduced the lesson of the day, which was causes and dangers of early pregnancy to the youth, Manuela asked the students to interpret information in their local language so that they can understand it well. After that, Manuela asked the students questions, what are the causes of early pregnancy, students sighted answers like poverty, lack of basic needs accepting gifts from strangers etc, after that Manuela asked the students questions about the dangers of early pregnancy, the students were so active and sighted answers like if a girl becomes pregnant, she will drop out of school, that girl can become infected with HIV and other diseases, chased from home by their parents etc. after that, Manuela invited Lorna, Lorna gave a broad explanation about the causes and dangers of early pregnancy to the youth, while Lorna was explaining to the students, she encouraged the students to abstain from sex, she even told them that abstinence means waiting till the right time. For example after education, get job then look for a partner to marry. After that explanation, Lorna invited Manuela to come and take students through group discussion, Manuela divided the students in to groups and gave them exercise to discuss in their groups, Manuela and Lorna were monitoring supervising the discussion, it was good to see students trying to write sentences properly though it was not easy but they tried .After the students finished, two students from each group presented their findings. After that, Manuela explained what students discussed so that they can they can understand more. After that explanation, Manuela invited Barbra to say something to the students, she encouraged the students to stay away from active that can tempt them to have sex when they are still young, she told them that abstinence means to wait till the right time. After that, Manuela gave the students an assignment to work on and they will discuss in the next visit, they left the school and went to the village to inspect some of the home facilities built by Kibo staffs.
