Learning Objectives
To educate the participants about communication behavior.
Notes
Purpose of the visit to Kagulu village, Manuela and Eliot went to that village to teach about Communication behavior focusing on Assertive, Passive and Aggressive behavior, this lesson is taught so that participants can learn the beast way of Communicating. Manuela and Eliot reached the village and found participants seated waiting for them, they greeted them and asked them to sit down, few minutes, Manuela asked the participants if they can moved around the village inspecting some of the home facilities built by Kibo Group staffs , after that exercise, Manuela and the team came back to the meeting place, Manuela waited for the participants to take their sits then later She asked one volunteer to pray. After prayers, Manuela introduced Eliot to the participants, after that, she asked the participants to review the previously lessons,one woman called Monica lead the exercise, she would ask the participants questions about the previous lesson and they would answers, this exercise took like 10 minuets, after that, Manuela introduced the lesson of the day, Communication Behavior she started by asking the participants questions about what Passive, Assertive and Aggressive means in their local language, they managed to share their ideas about Passive, Aggressive and Assertive in their local language. After brain storming, Manuela gave a broad explanation about communication behavior, Manuela told the participants that, Passive means that person who dose not decide for him or her self, he speaks while facing down and slowly, they feel stuck and hopeless, fails to Assert themselves, unable to stand up by themselves etc. After that, Manuela explained Aggressive behavior, Manuela told them that this person try to dominate other, speaks loudly, not listen well, be very impulsive, interrupting frequently and etc finally Manuela explained the beast means of communication and that is Assertive behavior, this is when individuals clearly state feel in control their opinion and feelings, they have good eyes contact , feel control of self, stands up for their rights and etc. after that explanation. Manuela invited the volunteers to come and demonstrate the Assertive, Passive and Aggressive behavior accordingly. The volunteers participated in role play demonstrating the communication behavior. It was fun and after Manuela asked the participants questions about the role play, they shared their ideas about the role play. After that Manuela invited Eliot to say something to the participants, he appreciated the participants for allowing him to be part of them and for attending the lessons, he encouraged them to continue learning what Manuela is teaching them. After that, Manuela and Eliot left.

We asked her question about the stoves, she says the stove has helped her a lot, that her food gets ready in time, no more cases of burns in her home, it saves firewood and above all no smoke in the kitchen
