Notes
Suzan went to the village to continue guiding the community members as they build the fuel efficient stoves on their own. This time the lessons were going to be carried out at the lower section of the village and the community members had already selected Roselyn where the stove was going to be constructed. The members together with Kibo staff worked together by collecting the dirt from the anthill while taking it outside near the kitchen. Some of the active men musa and his friends, took measurements of the dirt and grass while mixing it together at the ratio of 2:1, sprinkled water all over it and began stamping it with the entire group members until it got ready. The dirt was carried inside the kitchen and the active members began building the stove step by step while Suzan was guiding them through out because they had not mastered certain steps very well. She also kept on correcting the mistakes they made to make sure that they mastered all the steps perfectly. In the end,one stove was successfully constructed and the members were so grateful saying how they were privileged to receive such a wonderful Kibo program. They also promised to begin practicing to build the stoves on their own for future sustainability and also because more new members were joining in the lessons. Kibo staff thanked all the members for their commitment in working together and encouraged them to continue with the same spirit for a quicker development.
