- Martin went to Bukudumira village to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement. He walked around that village with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. Generally the community members have worked so hard on their sanitation facilities like digging the new pit latrines and others are constructing them.They saw about Nine new pit latrines, five of them are under construction and four of them are being dug like; Magidu Wakudumira he is digging a new pit latrine it’s now 25ft deep, Samuel Babalanda’s latrine 15ft deep its under construction with bricks two rooms, Silagi Kiwanuka constructed a strong dish rack which is good, Wakudumira Silagi’s new pit latrine 20ft deep it’s under construction, the son of Wakudumira Juma called Sowedi Muzafalu 17 years old constructed a strong new latrine and he dug a rubbish pit for his parents.They were so encouraged to see such a young boy looking out for their family. Martin and the group walked in 38homes. In Addition to the above, Martin, the LC1 and the committee members had a short meeting to discuss how to teach the community members about the setting of the hand washing facilities. The meeting was completed and they agreed that, they are going to mobilize them to come together in one place, and teach them the setting of hand washing facilities.
