Harriet,Lorna,Lenny together with seven internee students found a few participants at the meeting place. The group had already gathered materials at the homes of the two members that they had identified to build for stoves on that day. This village is at a point of building stoves on their own and they had agreed to build stoves on their own every Friday of the week. After a few minutes other members also turned up and started mixing the dirt. Kibo staff together with the internees joined to stamp the dirt which was fun work full of joy, songs and dances. The two members who were to get stoves on that day had just completed their kitchens in order for them to get stoves. The group led but the four active men with the guidance of Harriet built two stoves. One of the group members an old woman Tapenensi told Kibo staff that the stove has helped her to cook her food very fast and on time. She added that she is no longer worried about looking for fire wood because since the stoves requires less wood she resorted to cutting them wet and dry them in her kitchen. She thanked Kibo for teaching the community the skill of building stoves as well as to love one other. Because it was through love for one another that the group was able to build for her a stove despite her being old and weak to actively participate in the stove building. The second stove built was for a lady who the group members say is a drunkard but this lady is very hardworking and participates well in the stove program. It was great watching her lead some songs as the group was stomping the dirt.
