Notes
The meeting began with prayer and the Lc1 gave welcome remarks to all the people who turned up for the meeting.Alex B then taught the community the benefit of the trees and told them that trees are good in the community. He asked them to look at the trees which has many branches and yet all are on one stem and yet each branch benefits on the stem. Trees provide many services to people like shade as even their meetings are held under a tree. Other importance of trees mentioned are, they provide fruits, other trees can be fed on animals for their leaves like goats and cows. Other benefits mentioned were;source of fuel for cooking as firewood, timber for furniture and construction, wind breakers. He also taught them about the mvule tree as it takes long to grow for timber and yet give out hard wood. The leaves of that tree can be fed on the animals and also good charcoal can be obtained from mvule tree. He told them that the Mvule trees can be sold and people earn a living out of trees. Also the Mvule trees act as wind breakers near their building and crops.
