- Ws Notes
- David was in Kagulu nabigalata to follow up on the borehole status . The borehole was the one which was repaired last year.He was supposed to have a meeting with the water user committee members to remind them of their roles and responsibilities.David was supposed also to follow up on the sanitation facilities to ensure that they meet the required standards .Unfortunately David wasn’t able to have the meeting because the chairperson of the water user committee meeting mis Geturude and Sam mpango the adviser on the committee were away for the NAADS retreat.Another reason why the meeting did-not take place was that the rest of the community members were away for the burial in butaleja district. David and the two members who were present decided reschedule the meeting but they decided to move in about 40 homes.Out of the 40 homes 35 had all their facilities meeting the required standards. The five homes had issues with their shower areas which were affected by the heavy rains.on that note David encouraged the five homes to work faster and improve since it was a rainy season .He did so because he knew that the running water and disease would be easily transferred to even those who had all the facilities in place. The owners of those homes which were affected responded by agreeing to work in one week. From there David and the two members went to the borehole to check on its status. They found it in a good state. David left back a message of appreciation for the committee members .The treasurer also said that they had 110000 shillings on their borehole account.David advised him through the phone that though the borehole was still working there was need for them to continue contributing for the sustainability of their borehole. Miss Gertrude said after them harvesting they hope to contribute again. In general the hygiene status of the entire Kagulu nabigalata was still good However, David left the village hoping to plan to meet them another time.
