Notes
Harriet together with Six vistors and Zack found a few participants at the meeting place. They had already gathered materials at the home of Toffa who was identified to get a stove for that day. As soon as Kibo vehicle packed other members joined full of joy and excitement. Kibo staff first walked to a few homes that had got stoves. Fortunately they were all using them and very excited about them. They told Harriet that the stoves have simplified their lives as far as cooking food is concerned since they use very few firewood. No smoke in the kitchen as well as cooks food first . They later walked back to the home of Toffa where the stove was to be built.Harriet guided them to mix the dirt, stamped it and built one stove. The group was successful in other areas except measuring the banana stems is still a challenge. The person who had mastered the skill of measuring banana stems had gone to the hospital that day. Harriet retrained another person and encouraged the group also to learn other than looking at only one person. Members were happy and thanked Kibo for empowering them with a skill and uniting them by encouraging them to work together as a team.
