how to plant
Notes
Alex.B discussed with community members about how to plant trees in their community. They also discussed how one can benefit out of them. The members said one can determine the number of trees planted according to the size of land. They also said space from one to another should be the same depending on the type of the trees planted. They also suggested that trees that grow tall and can break easily by wind should not be planted near homes and along the roads. They suggested that trees like pines since most they are mostly for commercial use, when planted space should be considered from one to another and if possible should be planted in lines.
Alex B asked the members why space should be considered as they plant the trees?.The members said that, so that they can also grow some food crops in between when they are still young and even when they are big trees since there is enough space. They also said they easily know the number of trees and can know how to replace any that was affected and died.
Another issue discussed was where the community will plant the mvule tree on their land as they do not have the same size of land. There suggestion was that half a kilometre from each other, three hundred feet and on the boundary of their land. One member said it should not be planted too close to a path. They agreed together mvule trees should be planted not close to one another since they grow tall and also they want to plant or grow crops in between the trees. The discussion was still going on but the members were to go and attend burial as one of the community members had lost a child.
