Notes
Abraham met thirty five Bukoma B community members and they discussed about how to plant a Mvule tree. Many were thinking that, they grow by themselves but they realised that this time they are going to plant them. They were asking about the seeds of the Mvule because they had not yet seen them. Abraham showed them how to dig the holes which is 2x2x2 ft deep he told them to put the top soil a side and the inner soil on the other side so that they can mix manure with the top soil and it has to be the first to fill the hole, then they put the inner soil on the top. Some said that they have the experience when they planted the grafted Oranges from the government. Abraham also told them that from a tree to another has to be a distance of thirty meters which is ninety feet. He encouraged them to get a list of members as this will give them how many each will plant. He told them that these measurements are to be followed when planting Mvule only not other types of trees because the Mvule grows with large branches which gives big shade and when they are planted closer to each other then they may overlap. Some members asked if they can plant a Mvule tree at the water spring and Abraham told them that it is a good idea but that, they have to discuss with a whole community so that they can not destroy it. They are going to meet and get a list of all members.
