Notes
Martin went to ltuba Namalowe to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement, from the section of the trading centre up to the upper section. Especially for those homes that are still working on their sanitation facilities. He walked around that section with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. They were so encouraged to see that those homes are working so hard on their sanitation facilities like latrine constructions, dish racks, kitchens and shower facilities. Martin and the group were encouraging them about the standard, maintenance, smearing and the use of ash to eliminate flies and smell in their latrines. They were so happy to hear from the community members, saying that before kibo started working in ltuba Namalowe as a village, they were few latrines in that village. They told them that when you walk around, there is much improvement on the side of the latrines and other sanitation facilities. Martin and the group walked in 34 homes.
