Notes
Enock and Martin went to this community to continue checking on the progress of latrine construction, dish racks, shower areas, rubbish pits, hand washing facilities, clean compounds and more. Enock and Martin walked around the village sensitising the residents on the importance of hygiene and sanitation, teaching them how to make proper drainage systems on shower areas to avoid filthy and smelly shower rooms. To teach the residents about the importance of constructing standard facilities, encouraging the maintenance of all the facilities for those homes which have completed. The community has greatly improved in some areas, many people embraced the program, constructed good latrines, shower areas, kitchen areas and rubbish pits. There are some community members who have taken their time to construct using cement, sand, and bricks to construct their facilities. There is also one resident who is so proud to have a latrine. For a very longtime his family was practising open defection. The wife and kids are so happy to use their new latrine. Most of the stubborn homes have finally completed there latrines. There are just a few people remaining to complete their latrines. Enock and Martin divided up to walk in different sections so that they cover a big portion of the village. According to Kibos evaluation and assessment, their has been a great improvement in latrine coverage.
