- Bible Lesson 7: The Tongue
- Notes
- Ida went to Sinde and taught about the Tongue. Gusino opened with a prayer and Barasa read from the book of James 3:2-12.Ida asked the community what is the Tongue?. Some pushed their tongues out showing her, others said that a tongue is the tribe.
After the reading, Noela emphasized how really the Tongue can cause problems, she gave a testimony that she lost her husband to another woman, just because of rumors.
Ida told a story of the five rats that were going somewhere unfortunately the road was blocked.
They thought of what to do that won't affect them. They all agreed that one should go at a time and bring back the feedback to avoid any serious problems.
The first one went and came back, reported what he saw, it was a wall, the second saw a spear, the third saw a tree trunk, the forth saw things that looked like basins and the last one took time and explored everything and gave the right answer. The thing that had blocked the road was an Elephant. The first four only saw bits of the whole thing. Ida urged them to first explore things in their fullness before spreading wrong information. She added that Uncompleted stories can cause serious problems sometimes even deaths.
Nambozo said that his brother was imprisoned for just pointing a finger at someone saying that he was going to see, the person he pointed at went to police and filed a case against Nambozo's brother. Ida urged them not to point at people.
Ida gave a memory verse that each member cited. Ephesians 4:29.Joseph closed with a prayer.r
