- Bible Lesson 2: Jesus Lord of everything

- Ida went to Kitukiro and continued with the lesson about Jesus Lord of everything. Last week she didn't teach because of the problem that had happened.
Ida asked Sarah Kibuuka to open the meeting with a prayer.
Ida reviewed with them the previous lesson 'the Storm' which they remembered very well. Two of the storms they mentioned last time were death and evil spirits.
Wagage then read from Luke 8:40-56. The story from the Bible was about Jesus healing the sick and raising the dead. Nangobi Hellen raised her hand and told the community what she had learned from the passage. She said that Jesus is bigger than sickness and death, because death fears him and He conquered it.! Jesus raised a twelve year girl which, Ida said that it was raising the twelve tribes of Israel.
James Sonko said that according to the Bible, the evil spirits fear Him! They even begged Him not to kill them but cast them into the pigs.This brought up a question about eating pork, why do people eat pork and yet they are full of demons. Zebulon answered that all the pigs with demons drowned, not even one survived.The ones they eat are free from demons and are sweet.He continued saying that anything that has been blessed in the name of Jesus has no problem!
Ida encouraged the community to stick and trust the Lord alone.After the lesson Ida gave them a colouring exercise of Jesus calming the storm which the community enjoyed a lot. Jennifer prayed for Ida for journey mercies and for the community to stabilise after the problem they have been having of the witch doctor who attempted to sacrifice a girl in the community.
