Village Notes
Margaret Nabirye was sick suffering from malaria. She collapsed the day before Ida visited but the community took the responsibility of taking her to the health center. The community said that Margaret is a widow who needed their help as the Bible says to take care of the widows and orphans. They said, they remembered the story of the Good Samaritan that Ida taught them and were supposed to do what they did.

Bible Lesson 7: The Tongue
Notes
Ida and Fallon Barton went to Nabikenge and taught about "The Tongue " she first asked the question What is a Tongue? Some pushed their tongues out, Ssegonga said that it's a tribe whereas Ida Nangobi said that it is one of the smallest parts of our bodies. Margaret Junior was asked to read from the book of James 3:2-12. After the reading ,Ida asked if there was any one who has ever had a problem caused by the Tongue. Namumbya Scovia raised her hand and said that she was beaten by her husband when her sister in law, reported falsely about her that she had gone with another man. Mary said that her child came from school and told her that the teacher had sent him back home because of not having paid school fees and yet she's had paid everything. She rushed at school and started insulting the teacher , pushing him out of the class which drew some teachers attention. When the staff asked the problem as to why she insulted the teacher and even didn't report to the office, she told them that her child was sent back home for no reason because she paid all the fees. It was true that the teacher sent her child back home but the child never reached school!. The child just made up his own lie. Namumbya felt sorry and ashamed of how she reacted towards the teacher, and her child was punished for giving false accusations. Ida asked five participants to come forward and help her do some demonstration. Ida whispered in someone's ear that she has five children, three are boys and two are girls. The oldest girl is in senior four her name is Rebecca. By the time the statement reached the last person, it was completely different! It was, Ida has five children who don't go to school. The community was puzzled how really words can change within no time. Ida encouraged the community to always sieve the words they speak and also explore the whole situation just like in the story of the five rats they talked about previously. The three sieves that the community learnt were: 1 Is what am about to speak Truthful? 2 is it worth it? 3 Will it bring Unity?. Ida added that When those three go through the sieve, then onecan go ahead and speak as loud as he/she can. But if any doesn't go through, then never speak because it will cause chaos.Ida concluded with a memory verse in Ephesians 4:29.r
