Manuela and Lorna went to Kivule primary school to teach about gender roles and the importance of practicing good relationship.
When Manuela and Lorna entered the class, Manuela started by asking the pupils about the previous lesson taught previously, pupils were able to share their views with their life skill teachers. After that Manuela taught the pupils about the importance of Relationship Skills and how the pupils can manage their anger and Emotions, this lesson was aimed at enabling pupils understand that it’s not about fighting back but learn how they can try to avoid problems.
Objective
By the end of this lesson pupils will be able to know the importance of having good Relationships among one another.
After Manuela teaching the pupils, Lorna also taught the pupils about gender roles, during her teaching, Lorna asked the pupils to sight out their roles as children at home , pupils were able to share their roles that they do at home , theses are some of the roles that pupils mentioned, cooking, fetching-water, grazing animals, cleaning the house and among other.
In conclusion, pupils sighted a poem about Life Skills Education and Counselling, which was good, after the poem Manuela and Lorna encouraged the pupils to try and speak English everyday.
