Village Notes
This village was very hard to get people to work together since it had been divided with politics and a known village youth group so-called B13 had become a very big block in Kibo’s work. However it took Kibo’s and the sub county officials to talk to the community and the leader of these youths to calm down and unite the village to work together. The youth leader for B13 called Ntuyo Ibrahim agreed to become the chairman of the water user committee at one of the village borehole and promised to do good for his village from now on wards since he had spoiled his image in the village and was known as a very bad person.

Ws Notes
It has taken more than 8 months preparing this community for the repair, first encouraging everyone through the hygiene and sanitation process reminding them of the standard that the community had reached during the Kibo CLTS with Tom in 2014 and 2015. The village was also told to contribute money towards their two borehole repairs amounting to 400,000/=. And on a good note, the community managed to raise all this money and also the village has greatly worked together to improve their hygiene and sanitation standards in their village. This is one big achievement that most village members are proud of and appreciated Kibo group for the teaching and encouragement to help every body get a pit latrine and other facilities in a home. During the repair, the community members that gathered appreciated Kibo for the love that they have shown their community since 2014. A new U3 cylinder was installed and removed an old one that was not working anymore after 24 years working. Also a new heap pump was put on and removed the old one that had worn out. Kibo group staff Steven and David shall go back on Monday 23/07/2018 with the hand pump mechanic to complete the repair on the second borehole in Nawampiti village.

Repair Notes
A water leak from the pipes made the work very hard until super glue was used together with maize flour and it worked perfectly
