Notes
Abraham met forty two Ikumbya community members and they went through their draft ed constitution. Abraham took a sample of the constitution last time to guide them how to write their own and they have done most of the work but to decide what they hope to do as a village is still hard because they have many things which they can not do at once. Some members want to do farming while growing crops like rice and other are saying they need to keep animals like goats and pigs. One of the member said that they have to do something which will bring them together because like keeping pigs they have Muslim members they will not be comfortable. They still struggling to get what they can do which can unify them as a community. Abraham encouraged them to continue thinking about that issue because it is important and they are going to put it in their constitution. The chairperson told the meeting that their bore hole broke down four days back and they have called the district mechanic to come and open so that they can see the broken part and he said he will be coming today, she asked Abraham to wait until they can open the well and see what is wrong and it is something they can get from JInja so that they can save the transport. They waited until it was coming late and they had to leave for Jinja, they were nearing Kamuli town and the chairperson Nabirye called and she said that the mechanic came and opened the bore hole whereby the rod was the one which got broken. Abraham will share with Alex Walyomu to see that the community can send money and get a good rod to fix their bore hole or to direct them where they sell them.
