- Bible Lesson 6: Prayer
- Notes
- Ida went to Nabikenge and continued with a lesson about prayer. She reviewed with the community what they learned last week.
Margaret senior reminded the community about the story of Hannah and her co-wife Penninah. Hannah was such a prayerful woman, who trusted in God alone.
Ssegonga said that till now in the world there are pastors who think that people praying from their hearts are crazy. Hannah never complained when the priest abused her of being drunk.
Ida said that prayer is the way we communicate to God, unfortunately we only talk to Him on Sunday, Saturday or Friday. Only once a week and for only 30 minutes.
Nabirye said that Ida was right because as for her( Nabirye) communicates to God on Christmas!. She continued and encouraged people of Nabikenge that the time is now. She told them to talk to God everyday not only on days for prayers and when they have problems.
Alisa reminded the community of the people they learned about from the Bible in the previous lessons who prayed. Jesus prayed and started sweating blood, Peter prayed and the prison was opened, Daniel prayed and the lions never opened their mouths, the three men were thrown into the furnace but not even one hair was burned.
Ssegonga gave a testimony that when his mother was admitted, he prayed and had faith and God answered his prayer!
Margaret junior confirmed how prayer is the master key because before the meeting starts they open with a word of prayer.
Nabirye the VHT thanked Kibo for reminding them the most important things that they don't even think of most times, and she led the Lords Prayer to close the meeting.
