- Martin went to Kagulu village to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement, and to see the Chairmen of the new villages in Kagulu to discuss how the community members can improve on their sanitation facilities. Because before Kibo started working in Kagulu, it was divided into two villages, but now it’s six villages. On the previous visit,Martin and the new chairmen didn’t meet, because they were busy selecting the local leaders for the new villages. Martin and the group decided to walk around in those homes who are still working on their sanitation facilities. Generally to compare to the days kibo started working in Kagulu village, the community members have worked so hard on their sanitation facilities like latrines, kitchens, shower facilities etc. Tom Tamaite one of the community members, is having two homes in that village. In those two homes before kibo started in this village there were no latrines, but they were so encouraged to see that each home is having a new pit latrine, and he promised the group to construct them in few days. The group were encouraging the community members about the standards, maintenance and smearing to make their village more better and clean. Martin also asked for the broken pick Axes, and they brought two of them, he told William Matayo to hold them as he took a picture. Because they have been telling him about those broken pick Axes for many times. They walked in 34homes. In addition to that political activities are still taking place in Kagulu, because they would like to select the Chairman LC3 for the new sub county.
