The residents are taking all the lessons seriously although some of them have been slow due to harvesting period. The residents are taking all the lessons seriously although some of them have been slow due to harvesting period. Enock, Martin and Nate went to this community to continue checking on the progress of latrine construction, continue sensitizing the residents to construct sustainable facilities. As we reached, we went to check on the latrine of Mr Bavekuno sulaiman who was constructing his latrine during the previous visit. This old man has finished constructing his new latrine with good structures and smeared the inside neatly. He is a great example to the rest of the residents in this community. We actually used his latrine to be a good example of how a good standard latrine. We brought his son and challenged him to construct better than his father since he is still a strong than his father. He welcomed the idea after shaming him of his poor latrine structure. The old man is so appreciative for the great work kibo is doing in this village. We also walked in the home of the old lady who was constructing a new latrine, we met the young boys of about 12 and 14 years who dug a latrine of 20ft deep, they have not yet construct on it yet but next week they are constructing the structures on it. We shall follow up on that. There is also a resident called mutoto who was digging his new latrine and he was about 13ft and his target is 15ft. Most of the people are working towards improving their sanitation and hygiene. The chairman and VHTs are also helping in monitoring and encourage the fellow residents to use pick axes to get all their facilities in place.
