Notes
Alex went to Bupaluka to guide the community to make bylaws which will guide them as they implement the Community sustainable development program. He found the members waiting for him at the usual meeting place. Mutooto Saul the chairperson of the group started the meeting with an open prayer. The weather was windy and cloudy , and as soon as the chairperson finished praying it started raining heavily since the had sat under a tree they had to take shelter under the church building that was close to the meeting place. However other members had to go back home to remove their maize and rice they had left in sunshine for drying. They later came back for the meeting when it stopped raining and the meeting proceeded to discuss on issues concerning the bylaws for there group. They discussed about who should be a legitimate member of the group. And they suggested the following : Mr.Mulondo Patrick suggested in registration fee for each and all members supported the idea. The fee agreed on was sh 500.They also said that money will also help them to know people who are ready and willing to work together for development.Since everybody will pay in the same amount, all of them will have the right or be responsible on it equally. One member asked about what will that money will be used for? Mr.Isabirye Paul said that such money will be used for buying minute books, pens and anything needed for their group. Another member suggested that if the leaders are needed to attend seminars that will benefit them, they can use some of it for transport. They all agreed to a fee of Ugx500 each as registration fee for the good of their group. Alex B suggested to them the money collected to be paid to their treasury and records also to be kept concerning any money that is received. He also asked the leaders to always be clear and transparent as well as account for the money spent. They wanted to continue with the meeting but it was already past three o’clock. He wished them a good week and after he left for Jinja.
