- Notes
- Harriet,Jeska and Tape did not find any one at the meeting place. They decided to walk around the village to mobiles the community for the meeting.
They were only finding children in the home and most homes were cooking on open flames , they have big kitchens and they also saw that they have grass that will be needed for building stoves which was good for Kibo staff to know.
They also came a cross one home with a fuel efficient stove but it could not vent out smoke and used a lot of fire wood.Kibo staff asked the owner and was told that there is some one who came from Kamuli district and built it for them at the fee but they never mastered the approach.
This will be a starting point for Kibo to empower them with a skill so that they learn how to build fuel stoves that will vent out smoke and use less fire wood. As they were walking a round the homes they were not finding people and were told that most people had gone for a School meeting to discuss about feeding children while at school because the term is almost coming to an end and some people had not taken the money at school.
The parents had also gone to the school to plead with the parents since the price of maize is now at three hundred Uganda shillings of which it is even hard to get buyers.
They wanted to beg the school to buy maize from them or even let them pay maize instead of money.
Kibo staff had only 10people who turned up for the meeting who requested to postpone the meeting until every one is there. They agreed to meet on Monday 6th August 2018. Kibo staff also encouraged them to mobilize other members to ensure that every one participates in the program.
