Ws Notes
David and Steven were in maliga village to carry out the baseline survey of the village. When they reached the village they were joined by eight water and sanitation committee members. During their home to home moving while carrying out the evaluation process these were the positive thing s which were noted , A lot of new latrine pits were seen being dug,new dishrack s, new rubbish pits and some kitchens were being smeared .Out of the 36homes they visited to,only about 2 had the good standardized hand washing facilities in place . Therefore the Kibo staff during the evaluation process they kept on demonstrating how a good hand washing facility would look like. When they reached the home of the treasurer he told them that they had collected 170000 shillings as their borehole account and were still contributing to add on what they were having. In general the hygiene and sanitation status of the entire village of maliga is improving because a lot of new sanitation facilities were seen in place.
