- Bible Lesson Five: God’s forgiveness
- Notes
- Ida went Kitukiro and taught about “God’s forgiveness “
She again used a story of the an forgiving servant but this time in a drama style. The community chose the characters and acted well. They enjoyed and seemed to have understood better.
Just after the drama, one member stood and thanked Ida for the lesson because the story was about her. She got a loan from a certain bank which she wasn’t able to pay back. After sometime the bank came to take what she had given as mortgage. She begged the bank to give her some grace period which they refused. Her sister stood in for her and paid the debt.
This member continued saying that instead of thanking her sister she hated her instead. And stubbornly refused to pay her.
If was intense because she talked all these things while crying.
Ida asked her if the sister was still living, she said yes.
Ida turned to community and asked what they think should be done. They said that it the victim her self to take a step not the community.
She said that she behaved badly and no one dared to tell her that she was wrong but the Bible has put it clear and she is ready to go and face her sister to ask for forgiveness, she asked the community to pray for her that the sister will pardon her.
Ida encouraged the community to always forgive that they too will be forgiven.
