Notes
When Alex B arrived to Bupaluka,he found the members waiting for him at the usual meeting place. They had prayer together that was led by Mutooto Saul the chairperson of the group. The chairperson said that since they planted mvule, musizi and giant lira, from kibo group it has been raining. They discussed how to care for the trees for them to grow healthy and stronger. The members suggested that they need to love the trees they planted. The lodging of water around the trees should not be there as it may lead them to rotting of roots since they are still small. The bush or grass, should be avoided because it may cause them to be burnt or compete the nutrients from the soil as they grow. The members suggested to put hedges around the trees to protect them from being destroyed by animals and children. The family members should know where the trees were planted for them to be responsible for them as they grow. They need to support them when they are still young as the stem sometimes might be weak, until they gain strength to support themselves. They also suggested of being ready with money for buying insecticide to spray them when are affected by diseases and pests. The idea of easy identification of any affected tree by one of the members to take the information to the leaders. Alex B shared with the members the need for them to find out from one another how their trees are doing . That will help them share how they can each care better for his or her trees. He told that each time they visit one another about the trees, they will be improving on their love and unity as members in the group. He also appreciated them for their contribution toward how to care for their trees. He recommended them as good and cautioned them,to see that trees are cared for and grow. He asked them to have a collective idea together in the community to raise trees not only that from kibo group but also other trees.. Besides discussing with members how to care for the trees,Alex B on his way to Bupaluka,he came across an accident. The old woman fellow off the motorcycle and she was unconscious. He talked to the two young men whom she was with though they were in fear.He encouraged them to head up to the near by clinic for treatment
