Notes
Harriet ,Jeska,Tape ,Suzan,Angie, and Sylvia found when the participants had already gathered at the meeting place ready with the materials required for building stoves. The group told Kibo staff that they tried to build a stove on their own the previous day. Kibo staff inspected the stove but it was poorly done. The women also complained that the men did not involve them when they were building a stove on their own. Kibo staff commented them for having tried to build a stove on their own though they were not perfect. Harriet told them that practice makes perfect so they should keep on practicing to become perfect. Also need to to involve every one so that they all learn as a group. The stove was dismantled and asked the group to pay attention as Kibo staff build a stove. Kibo staff together with the visitors and the community stamped the dirt and built one demonstration stove as they explained the whole process to the community. This was done with songs of joy and success. This attracted more people to come and watch what was going on the neighborhood. The community thanked Kibo for being patient with them ,humbly correcting their mistakes despite them being slow learners. Kibo staff and the visitors also checked on the borehole which was very well maintained with a strong.
