Notes
On the 17th of September, Tape and Suzan visited Buyange with the purpose of building another stove for demonstration. They found found some of the community members gathered at one of their members home with materials ready for the demonstration. Kibo staff encouraged them and thanked them for being eager to learn more especially having spared time to mix and the dirt before Kibo staff arrived. This was a sign to show that the community is interested in the Healthy and Safe kitchen program. The community had identified a home of very old people (60years)to get a stove that day. They said though they are old and weak they need a stove so that they cook safely and Better. Kibo staff together with the community, worked hard mixing and stamping the dirt while dancing and singing songs of joy until the work was finished. Kibo staff worked with community and built two demonstration stoves.this time the community led by three men was much involved in the process. The community thanked Kibo for taking initiative to teach them . Kibo staff left the community with an assignment to build one stove on their own that they will look at in the next visit. The community promised to try because they are interested in learning.
