- Notes
- Harriet,Jeska and Nate found when the participants had finished stamping the dirt for the first stove and they were stamping for the next stove.
This because the community had decided to build stoves for two people ( Matilda Akecho and Elungata Margret.
This was a great achievement for them not to wait for Kibo staff to arrive in the village but to start working as they wait.Kibo staff joined the community and guided them to build two stoves for the two selected participants.
The challenge the dirt they had stamped was less by two basins of dirt each which forced them to stamp more dirt.
Kibo staff urged the community to always stamp more dirt other than stamping less dirt. Also one of the member Matilda did not have a kitchen before but after the Healthy and Safe kitchen program started to work in their village she felt it was necessary for her to build a kitchen in order to get a stove.
The stoves were built with joy as the community expressed happiness on how far they have come from with the influence of Kibo. The community decided to try to build a stove on their own that Kibo staff will inspect and correct in the next visit.
