- One member lost a goat that Kibo gave, but after reporting to the group. they decided as a group to contribute some money for the good of the group. They thought of giving him one from those that produced but they said the one to give will have been strained.
They are yet to decide on how much to contribute.

- Ida went to Nabikenge and and continued with the lesson about feeding chickens, this time she focused on the Feeds that are given to broilers because some members requested for that lesson. These members are planning to start keeping broilers as a business.
Ida told them that there are two types of feeds for broilers.
1. Broiler Starter
2. Broiler Finisher
Broiler starter is given to chics from day one to 4 weeks. Below is the recipe.
Maize brand. 58kgs
Cotton seed cake. 24kgs
Silver fish (Mukden). 14kgs
Shells (Masonko). 300gms
Pre mix. 500gms
Salt. 500gms
Ida added that if they cannot get silver fish, soybeans can do exactly as silver fish but they must fry the soybeans but not with cooking oil.
Sun flower can also work exactly as cotton seed cake, in case you fail to get cotton seed cake feel free to use sunflower powder.
Also if shells are hard to get bones can do the same thing as shells.feel free to use what is easy to access.
Broiler Finisher is given to chics from week five to week eight. This is the time that a farmer is recommended to start selling the chickens. If possible it’s not bad to start selling them off at six weeks, this will help you get money for Feeds and if the chickens are big enough you save money that would feed them for the last 2 weeks.
Remember water is very important to these chickens give as much as you can because there is no overdose.
