Notes
On the 24th of September 2018, Suzan and Jessica visited Buyange village with the purpose of building more demonstration stoves. They found the community members gathered at one of their members home ready with the materials. Kibo staff together with the community worked hard and built the first stove, and then they proceeded to another member’s home for another demonstration stove which was built successfully. Kibo staff also went ahead and removed the banana stems out of the previously built stoves. There after, Jessica and Suzan held a short meeting with the community whereby one of the members thanked Kibo for the Healthy and Safe kitchen program, saying that it really strengthened her marriage ever since she started using the energy saving stove( her food was cooked in time and also it got ready unlike before when she was using the three stones). This was an important speech given by a member because motivated others to continue/ start using the stoves when they dry up. Kibo then went ahead and thanked all the members for their unity and cooperation, and also encouraged them to continue with the same spirit.
