- Notes
- Abraham, Alex B and Falon Barton met Ikumbya policers with the Nabirye who is the chairperson of the group in Ikumbya at the sub-county and gave them ten Mvule seedlings, ten Musizi and five Giant Lira. The police officers were very happy and promised to keep the trees alive.
They kept the seedling in a shade waiting for rain to plant them. Then Abraham, Alex B and Fallon proceeded to the usual place where the group meets where they found members had gathered.
The chairperson told the meeting that they finished writing their constitution and took it to the CDO Ikumbya sub county to go through and make sure what they have written matches with government standards. She said the CDO has taken two weeks with it and she thinks he has a lot of work that is why he has taken long without bringing it back.
Abraham thanked the members for working had and repair their bore which got broken and they bought a new rod and fixed it. He advised them to use a banana stem and put near the trees which will help the tree to survive the sun shine.
They checked some members and their trees were alive and they are hoping to start raining soon.
They called the CDO and he said he will soon finish going through their constitution and he is hoping to take to them next week. They are contributing some money for compiling three copies of their constitution because one copy remains with the group, another copy at the sub county and the one that is taken to the district for registration.
