- Notes
- Harriet found the participants already at the home of Bwiso where a demonstration stove was to be carried out. This was to be done by upper Maliga as members in Maliga Central watches. This was intended to ensure that members in Maliga central learn so that they can also build stoves on their own as well as save Kibo's resources .This is because when the stove program was working in this village only members in Upper Maliga turned up.Harriet guided the two groups to work together and one demonstration stove was built at Bwiso's house.Harriet explained to them the whole process and asked them to ask where they did not understand. One man Bogere when he saw a complete stove he asked the group also to go to his house next time and build for him one though his Kitchen is not well roofed. Harriet told him that it's the group to decide where to go next and also he has to first work on his Kitchen before they build for him a stove. The group told him to pay Ugx 2000 membership fee if he wants to join because he has not been attending meetings. The group also asked for more three lessons before they start building stoves on their own because they want to learn and do it themselves.
It was agreed that the group should mix and stamp the dirt for the next demo lesson. This will show that they are learning as well as interested in the program.
