Village Critical Needs
This section of Kigalama especially the people in the lower section don’t have water. They have to move all the way up to the borehole at the road. There are 2 boreholes directly opposite to each other. These two boreholes however are too far to reach by those at the lower section.

Notes
Introduction Lorna went to teach on the facts and myths of HIV/AIDS Overview Lorna reached a little earlier and decided to pass by kigalama primary school to greet the teachers and encourage the primary seven pupils as they are preparing for their Primary Leaving Examinations.(National exams) before joining high School. Lorna went to the staff room greeted the teachers before going to the primary seven class. Lorna at the primary seven class greeted the pupils and gave them words of encouragement where, she asked them not to fear but read hard and above all pray to God to help them through. She told them that it was not something being done for the first time and that even her(Lorna) went through it even their teachers. She also urged them to be disciplined in whatever they do or are asked to do. She then told them she would pass by again when they are almost sitting their examinations. After this Lorna headed to the community. Lorna met the chairman of Kigalama/Namuseno and they sat together as they waited for other members of the community to come join them. After about an hour the chairman started drumming as a means of communicating to the people reminding them of the meeting. We waited for another 30 minutes and the chairman decided to drum again as there were no people yet. It was about 3:00pm when some of the members started coming. At about 3:20 more members came. Lorna addressed the members and told them she was not going to teach because it was late. She however encouraged them not to be lazy when it came to their on development. They asked her to teach but Lorna told them it was late and encouraged them to come earlier. She however took them through Life Skills curriculum. Lorna also asked the chairman to call her back when they were ready to learn. They told her they will be ready and everyone who came was asked by the chairman to come with 5 more people on the next visit. One lady said she would bring 15 people with her on the next visit. Conclusion Lorna concluded by telling the chairman to call her when they were ready.
